1) start your video recording program > 2) click the YouTube test video and let it record a little longer than your finished video > 3) trim the excess footage from the beginning of your recording and any excess beyond the length of your finished video > 4) upload to YouTube and let your timecode video process as an “unlisted video” > 5) locate the timecode video and click to “edit” the video – (make sure that the timecode video is set to “unlisted video”) > 6) review the 3 thumbnail images and note the times displayed in the thumbnails — this tells you where you have to insert your desired thumbnail images. (note – make sure that you keep the total video length the same.
